Vulgaris

Vulgaris is a simplified language that originally descended from Relic Tongue around the Changing of the Ages as a language for the common people. Although it maintains the hard consonant sounds of its progenitor, its vowels are more natural for the human mouth and it did away with a majority of the complicated conjugation and declension system that barred many simpler folk from learning Relic Tongue in the first place.

A "sub-language" of Vulgaris exists called Sklavia, the Slave Tongue. It is less of an actual language and more of a code used among the chattel class to quickly communicate one's Master's wishes. Sklavia has no personal tense and is notable for using the same word for "us" and "self" as dirt.
